Peer Ministry is an opportunity for youth in grades 9-12 to get more involved in the youth ministry programs we offer. It’s a great way to earn service hours, give back to your community, hone your leadership skills, build up the Church, and grow in your relationship with God.
Peer ministers have a leadership role in our K-6 youth ministry programs, from leading activities to giving talks. Experienced peer ministers can also plan and lead entire K-6 programs. Peer ministers also assist the youth minister in planning 7-12 grade lessons, activities, reflections, and prayers, although they do not actually lead any prayers or activities for these events. Finally, peer ministers serve as leaven in the dough of our programs, being witnesses to their faith in Christ and helping other kids come closer to Christ and the Church and go deeper in their relationship with God.
If you’re interested in becoming a peer minister, don’t hesitate to contact PJ Ehling for more information! You can help out with one event, several, or be a peer minister the whole year. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
