Mortgage Burning And Appreciation Day

St. Mary’s – Mortgage Burning and Appreciation Day

It has been a busy year at St. Mary’s, even into the summer where we are already doing our planning for the new parish year that kicks in on July 1st. On Sunday, July 14th after the 10 AM Mass, we want to take a step back and do two things. First, we wanted to officially acknowledge the generosity of our parishioners in paying off the debt on the new church building. Since we are no longer paying interest on that building loan, we can enjoy worshipping in the beautiful new structure (debt-free) and of course dedicate our resources to building up our Christian community and serving those in need. We will celebrate all this with a “mortgage burning” ceremony immediately after the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Please join us.

In addition to the financial generosity of our parishioners, we also want to express our appreciation for all those individuals and parish groups that keep the faith alive in the parish. We will pray for them at Mass as well. Without the dedication, commitment, hard work and sacrifice of our parish volunteers, we could not possibly continue to witness to the presence of Jesus Christ in our midst.

Please take a moment to pray for the volunteer groups, that the Lord may continue to bless their efforts and allow them to bear great fruit. These include:
