St. Peter's Business Manager

Greg Feldkamp has been the parish business manager for St. Peter’s since 2019. In this capacity, he assists the pastor in managing the many “business” functions of parish life so that the priest can focus more fully on prayer, sacramental duties and pastoral work with the people.

His duties include working as liaison to the finance committee and parishioners to assist the pastor and finance members in planning and budgeting as well as helping the parishioners to steward our financial resources well; working closely with Stan our maintenance man on facilities management; coordinating renovation projects; serving as a liaison to community organizations who use our facilities; administering employment policies; ensuring that we are in compliance with government regulations; ensuring that our office automation and communication systems are up to date; and more.

Greg has spent most of his life as a member of this parish with family roots going back to her founding in 1850. He has “done it all” in offering his service to the parish from the time he was a child serving at the altar when he attended the parochial school to his many areas of service as an adult, including parish council president, coordinator of ushers and greeters, member of the cemetery board, liturgical master of ceremonies, sacristan, funeral server, and personal assistant to a previous pastor. He also assists the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as a member of their diocesan pastoral council.

The Pentecost Novena is the first of all novenas, nine days of prayer. After Jesus' Ascension into heaven, He commanded His disciples to come together in the upper room to devote themselves to constant prayer (Acts 1:14). They prayed for nine days before receiving the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.

On May 4, 1897, Pope Leo XIII proclaimed: "We decree and command that throughout the whole Catholic Church, this year and in every subsequent year, a novena shall take place before Pentecost, in all parish churches." It has been reported that Pope Leo XIII was inspired to mandate the Pentecost novena because of a letter from a housewife in Italy. Pope John Paul II has reiterated Pope Leo XIII's command for a worldwide Pentecost novena, although the novena can be prayed at any time — not only before Pentecost.

Try to go to Mass daily throughout the novena. Go to Confession during the novena. Make visits to church to adore the eucharistic Jesus throughout the novena. Pray the novena daily, beginning May 31st.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Who, before ascending into heaven, promised to send the Holy Spirit to finish Your work in the souls of Your Apostles and Disciples, grant to give the same Holy Spirit to me that He may perfect in my soul, the work of Your grace and Your love.

Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom that I may be detached from the perishable things of this world and aspire only after the things that are eternal; the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my mind with the light of Your divine truth; the Spirit of Counsel that I may always choose the surest way of pleasing God and gaining heaven; the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross with You and that I may overcome with courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation; the Spirit of Knowledge that I may know God and know myself and grow perfect in the knowledge of the Saints;  the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service of God sweet and desirable; and the Spirit of Holy Fear that I may be filled with a loving reverence towards God and may dread in any way to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the sign of Your true disciples and animate me in all things with Your Spirit. Amen.
